Sometimes, law enforcement is the first contact someone has with the social and legal resources they need. This is especially true when the victim has been isolated from friends and family.
This program provides security training and resources to law enforcement, primarily to give them a solid foundation when they interact with victims of crime. This allows them to provide accurate information and advice when asked common relevant questions. For example, most law enforcement home security advice focuses on a disinterested adversary like a burglar; much of the computer security advice amounts to changing passwords and phone numbers. Our goal is to change that.
